During the lifecycle and development of a group or company, some of its products, services or specialisms can often become ‘non-core’.

This can lead to a decision being made to divest or sell off this revenue stream in order to realign and focus resources on more strategic areas, or to raise capital to reinvest in growth. In the vast majority of cases divestment transactions are deliberate efforts, however occasionally a divestment can be forced due to regulatory action.

We are able to work with management teams to carry out Strategic Reviews in the first instance, identifying the key areas of the group or company which are generating the best returns and / or have the best potential for future growth.

We can then advise on whether a divestment is a viable option and if so, the likely value such a transaction would yield, before managing the sale process to allow the management team to focus on the day to day running of the business.
